About , our Mission and Objectives
Sustainability for Seychelles (S4S) is a non-government organisation (NGO), registered in December 2007, which seeks to promote sustainable, “green” living in Seychelles in collaboration with citizens, the Government, other NGOs and the private sector.
S4S was formed by a group of people who are committed to the idea of sustainability or “green” living, and who believe that citizens have a vital role to play in helping Seychelles shift towards this ideal. This group of people currently makes up S4S’s volunteer executive committee, and is charged with the responsibility of guiding our strategic development as we evolve into an established, staffed, and effective non-profit organisation.
The mission of S4S, as stated in our constitution, is to “work towards social, ecological, economic & technological sustainability, and to inspire, inform & enable people to live, work & play in ways that benefit human & natural communities”.
